Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with us through this website.
Effective date: [to be set at launch]
Mt. Taylor Baptist Church ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, call us at (505) 287-4102 or write to us at 530 Jefferson Ave., Grants, NM 87020.
Information you choose to send us
When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, a phone number or email address, the topics you check, and your message. Messages may include prayer requests or questions about faith. We treat these with care and confidentiality.
The form is provided by Wix, the company that hosts our website. Your message is stored in our church's Wix account and sent to the church by email. Only the pastor and the people he authorizes can read it.
We do not ask for or want sensitive details such as medical information, financial information, or Social Security numbers. Please share those in person if they matter to your request.
How we use it
- To reply to you and help with what you asked for, such as a visit, a ride, baptism, or volunteering.
- To pray for you. Prayer requests stay with the pastor unless you check the box allowing us to share them with the church prayer team.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We keep messages only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and we delete them from our Wix account and email within 12 months. You can ask us to delete your message sooner at any time.
Cookies and similar technology
Our website is built and hosted on Wix. Like most websites, Wix places a small number of cookies that are essential for the site to work and stay secure, for example to protect forms against fraud and to keep each visit stable. Wix may also collect basic, aggregated statistics about how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, which helps us improve it. You can read which cookies Wix uses in the Wix cookie guide.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell information about visitors. When a cookie banner appears, you can accept or decline cookies that are not essential. Some pages also show content from Facebook, YouTube, and Google Maps, and those companies may set their own cookies (see the next section).
Content from other services
A few pages show content provided directly by other companies:
- Facebook (Media page): a preview of our Facebook page and recent posts.
- YouTube (Media page): our sermon playlists, shown in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
- Google Maps (Contact page): a map showing where we are.
When a page with this content loads, your browser connects to that company's servers. The company may receive your IP address and information about your browser and the page you are viewing, and it may set cookies, especially if you are signed in to Facebook or Google. We do not receive or control this information. Each company handles it under its own policy:
- Meta (Facebook) Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy (YouTube and Google Maps)
You can limit this by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings, using a private browsing window, or signing out of Facebook and Google before visiting. Links that take you to Facebook, YouTube, or Google Maps are covered by those sites' policies.
Our website platform
Our website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd. Wix keeps standard technical records, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the site secure and working, and it processes contact-form messages on our behalf. Wix handles this information under the Wix Privacy Policy. We don't use this information to identify visitors.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.

The people shown in photos on this website are Pastor Byron and Tricia Sarracino, members of their family, and others who have given permission. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, call us at (505) 287-4102 and we will take it down promptly.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect what you send us, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No website or email is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information online.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (505) 287-4102 or speak with Pastor Byron.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
